Hi! I’m Bronwyn, the founder of Mythic City Tours. Professional storyteller, historian, ex-high school history teacher, and unabashed lover of Lisbon. My travels have taken me far and wide, but it was Lisbon that captured me completely with its golden light, its echoes of fado, and its layers of myth and memory woven into every stone.

I moved here on a whim in 2023, not expecting to stay long, and randomly found myself within the first two weeks of arriving getting a job as a tour guide on electric bikes. I am a quick learner and used to figuring out life on the fly, so this kind of challenge was right up my alley! And I loved it.

Eight months later, I had the idea to start my own company doing tours a bit differently. Often travelling solo and as a lover of the medium of audio myself, I thought why not write, design, record and partner with an app to create a totally unique experience that is more intimate than a group tour could ever be.

And thus, Mythic City Tours was born! An invitation to get to know the city in a more intimate way; to slow down, go at your own pace, and experience the popular tourists spots in an entirely different way. We now have three very unique tours you can’t find anywhere else in the city, which weave together history, music, stories, and sometimes even poetry, to give you a completely immersive and enriching way to get to know Lisbon.
