Our journey begins in Martim Moniz Square, the heart of multicultural Lisbon. As you head uphill towards the ancient Mouraria, Anjos, and Graça districts, you’ll have an opportunity to hop on and off the tram when you like, and learn about all the important attractions you’ll pass. You’ll hear stories about the siege of Castelo de São Jorge, pass the Cathedral Sé, and hear about the Roman Theatre where ancient gladiator competitions were held.

The tram will glide through the elegant Baixa district, where you’ll pass near Praça do Comércio and Arco da Rua Augusta, areas that were rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. You’ll also see the streets of Bica and Santos to São Bento, where you’ll hear about the Carnation Revolution. You’ll climb to the Estrela district to marvel at the grand Basilica of Estrela before reaching the charming neighbourhood of Campo de Ourique at the Prazeres Cemetery, where the tour ends.
